about

this was written back in 2007 while my family was being evicted from their suburban house in Southampton, PA & moving to Mayfair/Philadelphia, PA.
the first tracking of it was done in Soho, NYC in 2009 but it was later 'completed' in Philadelphia/Mayfair in 2010.

lyrics

there's not one way to end an elegy for someone who is dead.
you can tell them what they want to hear; you could tell them,
what? they are so loved? but they don't want to understand because they're already on the other side.

there's not one way to begin a eulogy for someone who is a(hahahaha)live.
tell them that they are and they'll believe you.
trace those shadows on the walls.
& counting loose screws isn't work...

ALYSSA.
